Jeans have been a part of the Canadian lifestyle since the 1950s. In their beginnings, jeans were often associated with counter-culture. They were seen as appropriate wear for physical labour and were only worn for the most casual times. These days, denim is a staple of every persons wardrobe. Nearly everybody owns at least one pair of jeans and the choice of the style and fit of our jeans often speaks volumes as to who and what we are all about. There is no such thing as a Jean occasion anymore. When paired with other garments and accessories, jeans can be worn for all occasions, from the most casual to the very dressy. Warehouse One’s business was built on jeans. We have been part of the denim democratization of Canada since 1974. We have also put more denim on more bodies than the majority of retailers in Canada. We believe that jeans can look good, feel good, and last. Most importantly, we believe that fashion can be affordable. The Trunk to Trans-Canada Warehouse One’s beginnings were very humble. We sold jeans and leather jackets from the trunk of a 1968 Ford LTD.
