Cosette has been marbling silk, cotton, leather, vinyl and wood products for 11 years. Previously she worked exclusively in the batik medium for 14 years. Her love of color and the flow of colors on fabric has been a continuous and exciting art form. Her marbling technique has been compared to the finest Italian hand-marbled papers, arrived at only after months of research and experimentation, and years of daily practice. Her work has been featured in museum catalogs such as the Smithsonian, and the Museum of Fine Art, Boston. Her products have been sold in the Pierpont Morgan Library and in gift shops of many fine art museums, including the American Textile Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Art-Houston and Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Cosette marbled accessories are currently available through the Library of Congress Gift Shop (Washington, D.C.), Supreme Court Gift Shop (Washington, D.C.), Peoples Pottery (various locations), Studio 40 (Greenbriar Hotel, WV), Blue Rose (Santa Fe, NM), Isadora (Sedona, AZ), Hanson Galleries (Houston, TX), The Gifted Hand (Wellesley, MA), Clarksville Pottery (Austin, TX), The Escape (Georgetown, TX), Gallery Five (Tequesta, FL), Exit Art (Longboat Key, FL), Out of Hand Gallery (Scottsdale, AZ), 605 Artiques (Bend, OR) and other galleries around the country. She has been featured in articles in the Austin American-Statesman newspaper, The Wall Street Journal newspaper, Texas Weekly newspaper, Texas Highways magazine and video interviews for KTBC-TV (Austin, TX) and Texas Country Reporter (syndicated).
