In 2001, an exhibition of Timor Leste textiles called tais was presented during the Melbourne International Arts Festival. The exhibition was an instant success. Preparations began to launch the GiftGiver range in Australia. T he groups working with Timor Leste WomenWeavers to make this happen are: the Alola Foundation, the Asia Pacific Support Collective Timor Lorosae, the Melbourne East Timorese Handicrafts Support group, Oxfam Great Britain, Oxfam Hong Kong, and Oxfam Australia Trading .
