Through the years, my friends and I have worn scarves with our business suits and dresses to give our outfits a more finished look. Sometimes we just needed some accessory to make an unlikely combination work, like a solid skirt of one color and a blouse of another color. But it became increasingly difficult to find the appropriate scarf. My husband was on a business trip and, by chance, found a manufacturer who produced great scarves, so he brought some home. From that chance find, we decided to begin a business of supplying scarves to other business and professional women. We sold them to business groups, at fairs and festivals and limitedly to other types of clothing vendors. We took our scarves to fairs and festivals and we received a wonderful response. We also offered sun hats and scarf rings to our customers. I took the scarves to office buildings and was delighted that many business women purchased them to augment their wardrobes. Then, fashions changed and suddenly scarves were being worn by lots of women with all kinds of outfits. Hollywood began accessorizing film stars in scarves and the demand increased again. When we met a jewelry manufacturers representative and found we could purchase their sample case of jewelry at significant discounts, we added jewelry to our product offerings and priced them for working women on a budget. We decided offering these products via the internet was the best way to make them available to the public. And here we are!
