High and Mighty was founded in Hull in 1956 by Bernard Levy. The first UK big and tall retail outlet was opened in Edgware Road in London in 1959 as Northern Outsize Menswear. When the company continued to flourish and to open further stores in the UK, Holland and Germany, it changed its name in the process, becoming High and Mighty in the 1970s. High and Mighty is today an international retail chain, with 25 stores in the UK and 7 stores in Continental Europe. There is also a flourishing franchise scheme in progress. Our first international franchise was opened in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2002 and based on this success two more franchise stores have opened in Belfast and Kuwait with more in negotiation. High and Mighty always has been and continues to be the market leader in European big and tall clothing delivering fashion that fits to men of above average stature. Our stores contain some of the most unique and dynamic clothes for big or tall men around.
