At Truehearth Armouries we build armour for combat and display. Combat armours are built to meet or exceed the standards for combat in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Please let us know if you have different needs. Truehearth Armouries is owned and operated by Carlo Carignan, also known in the S.C.A. as Lord David Trueheart. I have been involved in the SCA since 1983. My interest in armouring came through necessity. The nearest armourer to my group was an 18 hour car ride away, which made it hard to get helmets. Therefore in 1989 I made my first helmet and then continued armouring as a hobby. In 1999 I opened Truehearth Armouries as a full time operation. I am now in my eigth year and wish to thank all my customers for their patronage. Unless otherwise specified prices quoted on this Web Site are based on the following assumptions: Helmets are constructed using 14 gauge hot rolled mild steel; Plate items are constructed using 16 gauge hot rolled mild steel; Items with grills use, 1/4 round stainless steel bars; and Chain-mail items use 14 gauge stainless steel wire.
