This website has been set up by me, Janet Granger, and my husband, Chris. We live in a small village in Staffordshire, in the beautiful Peak District. We felt we had to do something to make it easier to find small shoes in the UK, after I spent months trying to find ANY shoes that would fit me, and having no luck. Initially, we set it up as a support site, thinking that we would discover shops that did sell small shoes. In the end, as the shops obviously didnt exist, we began the long search for suppliers, ordered some shoes - and waited! Now, we have a collection, which we add to all the time, as you can see. Hopefully, this site will save you time, so that you dont have to do some of the fruitless searching around that we did. Before we started searching for small shoes, our day job was the business that we set up 6 years ago - Janet Granger Designs, which is a company selling miniature embroidery kits to make items for twelfth scale dollshouses. When we occasionally get a few moments off, we do have some other interests. I have just completed an Open University course in Social Science, and after six years of part-time study can now put BSc after my name. Chris is keen on website design and computers generally, so a lot of his time is spent online or reading about IT developments. He is also very musical, and plays the guitar and cornet. We love walking, which is particularly good as we live in such a lovely part of the country. My other passion is gardening, and we are trying to create a cottage garden at the moment - its coming on slowly! We are both vegetarians, and are interested in alternative medicine and slower-paced lifestyles - we believe that you should enjoy the work you do, and that people should not be defined simply by their job title.
