Zack White Leather Company takes its name from its founder who purchased the business in 1952 and moved it to Raleigh, NC. The Company had been in the leather and shoe findings business since 1934, and with Mr. White at the helm, it now diversified into leather craft and leather sales. Back when every town had a couple shoe shops, Zack White had a staff of salesmen who traveled the countryside selling everything from shoe soles to leather hides. In Memory of Zack S. White, Integrity, Honesty, Customer Service, Zack retired in 1985 after 50 years in the Leather Business. His values lives on today in the company he founded. Today, the Company derives most of its new customer base from referrals and word of mouth... generated through its catalogue publications and Internet web site... with repeat customers making up 80% of sales. Over the years the Company has shifted from shoe findings to leather craft as its main line of business. While the bulk of sales come from our wholesale customers, retail sales are welcome. A show room and outlet store is located at 1515 Main Street in Ramseur, NC where people can come in in purchase items. The Company is constantly expanding its line of leather craft tools and hardware... stocking almost a complete line of Osborne Tools and Fiebings Leather Dyes and Finishes. Zack White imports a broad range of hardware items, snaps and fasteners for use by the trade. The Companys focus of leather craft is complemented by being distributors for The Leather Factory and Tandy Leather. The Company represents many of the best tanneries in North America and stocks a complete line of leathers for the craft and tack trades.
