As we start our seventh year of creating stylish, comfortable and Earth-honoring clothing, we extend our thanks to everyone who has helped us transform from a home-based business of one in 1999, to a three-person, community-based operation with resources from around the world in 2006. We also wish to welcome newcomers and tell you why this work gives us joy. We want to communicate our vision, mission and goal to you, because thats what energizes us. Our vision is to see Cottonfield expand and form partnerships with people from other nations. Although we remain a small company, we are part of the worldwide movement which supports fair wages, just living conditions and environmentally sustainable products. Our company reflects a new way of doing business. We care about all the people with whom we are associated and we feel a sense of responsibility to them. In addition to our line of clothing and other products made from organic cotton fabrics, we are pleased to offer you alpaca sweaters from Peru, and garments made from certified fair-trade hemp and silk-like bamboo. Our hemp fibers are grown and made in China; the bamboo is grown in China and then woven in South Carolina; and the bamboo garments are then cut and sewn in Massachusetts. Yeumei Shon, CEOOur mission is to nurture and nourish our local and global community. Cottonfield sewing shops are located right here in the Boston area and, whenever possible, we set up educational displays at local events such as the Boston Toxics Centers Conference, the Bioneer Conference, the Northeast Organic Farming Associations Summer Conference, and the Boston Vegetarian Societys Food Festival. Julie and Keara provide excellent customer service and they receive many compliments for their work on behalf of our customers. We all feel closely connected with the people who choose our products and we enjoy serving them. Our goal is to work in harmony with people here and abroad to help restore integrity and justice, health and balance to Planet Earth.
