Whale Cove Knitters is a small home-based business, established in 1985 selling handknit wool sweaters, socks, mittens, and also sweater kits. It is active mainly during the summer months from June until September when there are many visitors to Grand Manan. We also operate a mail order business throughout the year. We began selling sweaters at the weekly Grand Manan Farmers Market then eventually opened a small shop by our home. There are about twelve very talented knitters who do the knitting in their own homes throughout the year. The sweater designs and patters were created by Pam Cronk. We sill attend the Farmers Market every Saturday morning from the end of June till the middle of September. Our shop is open daily throughout the summer by chance or by appointment. Our friendly dog Goldie is always around to greet customers.
