Kate & Hazel Dressekie, partners and co-designers of GOBBOLINO hail from a long-line of seamstresses, smockers & corset-makers dating back to the 1800s. Hazel studied Art & Design in the mid-sixties and after following a career in Display in the North-West she moved to London to take up the position of Head Display Artist for Elizabeth Ardens Bond Street salon. Kate studied Art & Fashion Design at Barnet College, followed by Surrey Universitys BA Fashion Design course. Eager to learn further skills they both studied various forms of Art & Crafts including printing, photography, calligraphy, needlecraft, batik, stamping & embossing. A generation apart - Hazel & Kate have combined the essence of fashion and youth culture from the 1960s to the 21st Century, incorporating a little of each era in their designs. A wonderful eclectic gathering together of beatnik, mod, hippy, punk, glam, gothic & fantasy fashion.
