Who are we? we are you and you are we. we traded the sunrise for the sunset when we started a humble little store on a corner in a dank northwest university town over ten years ago. we didn’t know squat about retail, all we knew is that we loved the wild side, the dark side, the underbelly, sex & drugs & rockin’ music. our friends were misfits like us, lookin for others to relate to, trying to splash some color across a black & white world. our friends are punk and goth and glam rock and rave and industrial new wave - we don’t care because we’re all on the same side of the fence and there’s always gonna be more of them than there are of us. we’re not fashion or lifestyle snobs and we don’t want to be pigeonholed either. sometimes we’re more punk than industrial, more goth than glam or vice versa. we’re not down with all that “you’re not insert subculture here enough!” we like to mix and match, we just want the freedom to be different and have some fucking fun! that’s why it’s so important for us to be inclusive of so many freakin’ subcultures and to provide for you (us) in the way that we do. i know that may sound like a pile of esoteric bullshit but we couldn’t/wouldn’t do this if we didn’t live the lifestyle and wear what we sell and have some kind of connection with it all. we (and our friends) pride ourselves on the fact that we still make the effort, that it’s still worth it week in and week out to counterbalance all the other weird trips and b.s. in our lives by dressing the way we do, by making the effort to hit the streets and stand up and be counted, to support the local bands and clubs and underground events. we know what it’s like to get stared at, to be snickered at, to be yelled at on the street....we know what its like to be noticed. its good! support diversity and variety and local flavor, support the small and lifestyle oriented businesses. support your local bands, support your local scene, find the real true characters in your local swimming pool; they’re out there and they’re worth their weight in gold. the trouble with normal is it always gets worse.
