Honeybear is 100% unique hand-printed t-shirt designs and limited-edition handmade jewelry using rare vintage beads and semi-precious gems. Everything is made by me, Julia Neumaier. The silk-screened designs are prints of my own original drawings and doodles, printed with inks soft to the hand. The jewelry is pretty, wearable and high-quality using vintage beads such as 1930s & 40s Bakelite, vintage carved bone ivory and Occupied Japan pressed glass, as well as semiprecious gems such as ruby, quartz and amethyst. I use high-quality materials, including American Apparel/Alternative Apparel t-shirts and 14k gold-filled and sterling silver findings. I only make small quantities of both the t-shirts and jewelry, many are one-of-a-kind! Honeybeardesigns.com was originally inspired by a poem My Honny Bare that I wrote when I was 6 years old. I have been drawing and making stuff since I can remember and for the past couple years designing t-shirts and jewelry. I have always loved history and many of my designs dig into the past, whether its growing up in the 1980s or the jewelry design of the 1940s and 50s.
